Vote on Same Sex Marriage Motion Today

September 16, 2003

The Canadian Alliance motion to reaffirm the Constitutional definition of marriage, as between one man and one woman, previous overwhelmingly approved by the House of Commons in 1999 by a vote of 216 to 55, will be introduced by the Leader of the Opposition, Mr. Stephen Harper, later today. The vote, following all day debate, on this motion reaffirming the Constitutional definition of marriage is scheduled to be held by 6.00PM today.

In a not so subtle display of media bias against the traditional family, the otherwise respected CTV commentator Mike Duffy, on live television this morning, expressed the hope that the Canadian Alliance motion would be defeated so the country could move on to other business.

These are the same media types that decided it was not important enough to inform the Canadian people, and kept silent for as long as possible about the draconian hate crime amendment Bill C-250, which threatens religious freedom, and freedom of speech for all Canadians expressing a moral viewpoint in oppostion to homosexuality.

May God have mercy on our land, and guide our parliamentarians to uphold the Constitution on marriage, and for the sake of righteousness, and freedom effect the demise of Bill C-250 most likely to given third and final reading and the final vote on September 17th.
